Controller

Accountants One has been hired to help a small, growing, service company hire a controller.  This role is the true definition of "hands-on" and requires someone that sincerely enjoys being the main point of contact for all things accounting and finance.  The company has a great reputation in their industry and is focused on growth by adding market share and additional markets.  They offer a great work atmosphere, fun, high-energy and focused on growing through excellent customer service. 

The successful candidate will be someone that has been in a similar role and truly enjoys being part of a small, collaborative management team pushing a company forward in both sales and service.  This role requires a confident candidate capable of defending accounting decisions to senior management. 

Job Duties:

• Manage and perform all aspects of month-end close
• Produce financial statements
• Accounting for revenue recognition 
• Work with external auditors 
• Accounting for inventory, manage purchasing
• Manage accounting staff in day-to-day functions: A/P, A/R, billing, cash management
• Fixed asset accounting
• Process improvement, process automation
• Help implement new accounting ERP / software

Job Requirements:

• Accounting degree required, CPA a plus
• Stable job history with experience in small to mid-size companies
• "Where can I help most today" attitude
• 5 years or more hand-on Controller / Accounting Manager experience required
• Software implementation experience preferred
• Proven success in process improvement, process automation helping build infrastructure for future expansion
