Senior Accountant

A growing construction company is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial reporting, accounts payable, reconciliations, and cash release coordination for three subsidiary companies. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, professional judgment, and the ability to improve financial processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage Intacct, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

Duties:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and review profit & loss (P&L) statements, perform variance analysis, and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Accounts Payable & Receivables: Process invoices, manage cash applications in Sage Intacct, oversee credit card coding, and reconcile vendor statements.
• Reconciliations & Discrepancy Resolution: Research subcontractor accounts, resolve outstanding balances, and collaborate with the Controller on financial corrections.
• Process Improvement & Cross-Training: Support construction accounting processes, maintain invoice approval workflows, and ensure timely vendor billing compliance.
• Audit & Compliance: Assist with financial audits, ensure proper internal controls, and support operational discussions related to collections and liens.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience with Sage Intacct (Required).
• 3+ years of experience in cash applications and account reconciliations.
• Experience in construction accounting is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience).
