Dan Erling, CPC
President & CEO
Dan Erling is the President of Accountants One. He is in the Georgia Association of Personnel Services (GAPS) Million Dollar Hall of Fame and was recognized as one of Atlanta's Up and Comers by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Under Dan's leadership, Accountants One was named one of Atlanta's Best Places to Work.
Dan is the creator of the Search for the South's Funniest Accountant. This combination fund raiser / stereotype debunker has become an annual favorite in the accounting community – consistently bringing in over 800 people to cheer for Funny Accountants. Through the Search Accountants One has helped raise over a quarter of a million dollars for Junior Achievement of Georgia.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Georgia State University and his Masters from Emory University. Before joining Accountants One, Dan was an inner-city math teacher for 8 years. In 1996, he was named the Academic Achievement Incentive Teacher of the Year for Middle Schools.
In 1998, Dan had the opportunity to join his father, Bert Erling, at Accountants One. This followed several summers of working as an IT Project Manager for the firm. While Dan unexpectedly lost his dad on May 2, 2010 he considered the opportunity to work with his dad as one of the highlights of his life.
Dan's wife, Michelle, is an art educator and painter (she painted the two pieces that hang in the lobby of the main office). He has two sons that he is very proud of. Dan's personal interests include abstract art and music.
While dedicated to working a recruiting desk, Dan spends a great deal of time consulting with companies on Hiring Best Practices. The result of this work led to his book: MATCH, A Systematic, Sane Process for Hiring the Right Person Every Time. The book was published in December 2010 by Wiley Publishing and is available wherever books and ebooks are sold. Dan is on the board of Junior Achievement of Georgia. Through this non-profit he is able to be part of making a difference in the lives of children. Something that remains incredibly important to him.
Dan is also on the board of the Georgia State Panther Athletic Committee. As a GSU alum he is incredibly proud of what is going on with Panther Sports. The impact of the sports community on the downtown area also inspires him.
The opportunity to serve people and bring value in an authentic way continues to motivate and inspire Dan every day. He truly loves his job.
Angie Thomas is a firm believer in the famous quote by Zig Ziglar, “You can have everything you want in life, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”. A North Carolina native, Angie was born and raised in the Pinehurst, NC area. Her admirable work ethic, as well as her passion for exceptional customer service was instilled in her as a young girl, when, at the age of 14, she enthusiastically began working in her family’s highly-successful business, and ultimately took on the responsibility and role of assistant manager. Her outgoing personality and her love for people served her well in her role there, as well as in other opportunities over the past few years.
Angie is a graduate of Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in “Exercise Science” and a minor in Business Administration. Fulfilling her desire to help others to do and be their best, Angie worked as a certified personal trainer for eight years. During that time frame, she also established her own business promoting health and fitness for children; she specialized in creating a fun environment and unique methods of exercise that motivated her young clients and gave them a desire to embrace a healthy lifestyle.
Angie has been a resident of the Raleigh-Durham area since 2012. When she is not at the office, you’re likely to find her either at the gym, cheering at a UNC game, or simply enjoying the company of her four-legged best friend…her miniature Dachshund, Shortie.
Building on Accountant One’s core values of honest, integrity and confidentiality, Angie possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering determination, both of which will be beneficial in expanding the firm’s presence in Raleigh, NC.
Anna Orr, CPA, brings a variety of accounting experience to the Accountants One team. Her background as a Staff Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Controller and Consultant in several industries provides her with the knowledge and instinct to effectively match the goals of her candidates with those of her clients.
Anna believes in giving back to the community. She has been an advocate and avid volunteer leader for area public schools. She currently is a Board member of the Atlanta Counseling Center, a non-profit organization that works to provide quality, faith-based psychotherapy to anyone in the community, regardless of their financial situation. Anna is an active member at St James United Methodist Church and serves in the Youth and New Member ministries.
She received her degree in Accounting from Clemson University—Go Tigers! Anna has called Atlanta her home for over 30 years and currently resides in Dunwoody with her husband, Summey.
Assistant to the CEO
Ann-Marie Morrill joined Accountants One in November of 2013 as the Assistant to the CEO. Having studied two years at Agnes Scott College, Ann-Marie spent a year in Washington, D.C. before returning to Atlanta to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from Emory University.
Ann-Marie has worked in various industries, including Sales and Marketing/Public Relations for The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead in Atlanta, GA; Public Relations for the International Spoleto Arts Festival in Charleston, SC; and as a Marketing Specialist for Hodges Ward Elliott, a hotel brokerage and investment firm in Atlanta, GA.
For four years, Ann-Marie began and successfully ran her own business as a Personal Chef. She is pleased to have become a part of the Accountants One team.
Brent Harris, CPC, is a Senior Recruiter on Accountants One team and is in his 22nd year of recruiting and placing professionals in the Atlanta market. The last eight years he has been the Atlanta Team Lead for Accountants One and has excelled at helping companies identify and hire people that Match the company culture and goals.
He became a member of the Georgia Association of Personnel Services (GAPS) Million Dollar Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility and has led an Advanced Training course for GAPS. In addition, he has been a member of their annual Big Billers Panel multiple times.
Before joining Accountants One, Brent managed two offices for a national search and staffing firm after they purchased the company he helped build to be one of Atlanta's top recruiting agencies. He has distinguished himself by his personal production numbers while also coaching and developing his recruiting staff. Brent specializes in financial and accounting placement with a focus on CFO, Controller, Accounting Manager, and tax positions ranging from Director to Staff.

Cindy joined the Accountants One team in January 2012.

Cindy was a partner with her husband, Roy, of Growth Management Group. They are proud to say that their business over 10+ years was comprised primarily of referrals. In addition to being a Senior Recruiter and Division Team Lead, Cindy is a career and speaking coach, radio blog host, and inspirational speaker. She is a published author, sharing her incredible story of living through and conquering 15 surgeries, a near death experience, and a rare chronic disease.
Cindy is also a past District Governor of Toastmaster International, where she brought the district to #4 in the world and #1 in North America. She also is a past Region 8 Marketing Advisor where she was over 7 states, Bahamas and Caribbean for Toastmasters International. She has been a speaker at numerous events and conferences. Cindy has opened over 90 corporate Toastmaster clubs in Georgia. Toastmasters has taught her leadership and communication skills that she has been able to utilize throughout her career.
Cindy is a Chair for the workforce curriculum at Rainbow Village, which is a transitional housing community for homeless families with children. Most of the heads of household at Rainbow Village are women who have fled lives full of domestic violence and poverty.

Customer Service Coordinator
Dede Noonan is a Client Services Coordinator at Accountants One and is in her third year with the company.
Before joining Accountants One, Dede was part of the membership services team at the Cowart Family Ashford Dunwoody YMCA.
In her spare time she enjoys working out, cooking, gardening and traveling. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and has three children and one grandchild.
Manager CFO Services
Prior to joining Accountant One, Jared was Senior Manager of Operations for Tatum, a national executive services firm, that cut their teeth providing part time CFOs to small and medium size businesses. Jared joined the Tatum brothers in 1998 to help establish their first back office and an administrative support structure. He filled a number of roles and functions with Tatum over the years, spanning areas such as IT, marketing, business/facilities operations, human resources and recruiting. During his tenure, Tatum grew from 59 partners in six markets to almost 1,000 members in 37 markets.
Jared also has a background in commercial mortgage servicing, commercial real estate lending and banking.
From a philosophical and practice standpoint, Jared firmly believes in and is motivated by the value of developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships, with both internal and external constituents, and how such relationships positively affect the quality and quantity of business activities. He consciously applies this philosophy when networking and developing referral relationships, and seeks activities that lead to win-win outcomes. Jared believes that focusing on and serving others' needs first is the best way to achieve long term success in whatever business you are in.
Jared holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, and an MBA degree from Rollins Crummer Graduate School of Business. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, travel, most outdoor activities, and participating in church mission work. He attends and has been a member of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church for over 20 years and has served in leadership roles on various committees, including the church’s governing body as an Elder.
John Davis (JD)
John Davis (JD) has almost 30 years of recruiting in this specialty, exclusively in Atlanta – the last 17 years with Accountants One. He moved to Atlanta in 1978 to manage this own staffing firm for many years.
Plain and simple, John assists companies in solving their staffing challenges.
So he knows an awful lot of “key” players locally – but more importantly – an awful lot of key players know John Davis.
His business career began with Procter & Gamble in the Cincinnati Accounting Office.

He also leverages the skills of his teammates to support his search efforts, leaving him free to recruit for a client behind the scenes (an ‘old fashion’ art these days, but a proven formula). Julia joined the Accountants One team in January 2013. She keeps our CEO and COO up to date with financial analysis and reporting and manages all financial aspects for the company. In addition, she manages payroll and human resource functions.
Julia received her BS in Business from Wake Forest University.
Prior to joining the Accountants One team, Julia worked in the airline, insurance and leasing industries in various financial roles. More recently she served an attorney for a number of years in financial management.
She and her husband have two adult children in college and graduate school. They are a very active family and enjoy athletics and the outdoors. Julia is a runner but enjoys biking, hiking, and swimming. She is also a yoga instructor and completed her 200 HR Yoga Teacher Certification in 2016. When she finds time, she enjoys drawing and painting.
Lisa sees her role as someone who creatively recruits and successfully places accounting and financial professionals in the Atlanta market.
Lisa's involvement encompasses the full scope of the recruitment cycle. Her keen sense of "what is the right fit" is an added plus when dealing with various clients from diverse industries. By the same token, the time and patience that she spends working with each candidate is the key to her successful placements. This professionalism, coupled with her understanding of the sense of urgency required when working with both clients and candidates, has enabled her to deliver exemplary, consistent service throughout her career.
Matt Hanson, CTS joined Accountants One in March of 2011 and brings a great deal of determination and entrepreneurial spirit to the team. He is a professional who enjoys working with a firm that lives their mission statement of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
Matt is an Atlanta native who re-located back after being away for 7 years to follow his career path. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Florida State University. In addition, Matt's background in Sales and Marketing brings value to both his clients and candidates.
Matt has been a volunteer with SHRM-Atlanta since 2011 and continues to hold positions on their Volunteer Leadership Team. Matt was awarded the Presidential Volunteer Leadership Award from the organization in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Megan Lord joined the Accountants One team in April of 2013. She specializes in building relationships with candidates to better understand their knowledge and expertise in the accounting industry so that we are able to better support the needs of our clients. She has teamed up with Lisa Klein and together they are able to support both clients and candidates in all aspects of accounting, finance, and health care.
Megan has lived in Gwinnett all her life and currently resides in the greater Atlanta area with her husband and three children. She completed school in Athens, Georgia and with the knowledge she has attained from working with the best in the industry she is able to match the goals of our clients with those of our candidates.
Director of Client Development
Randi Bates joined the Accountants One team in 2003. She brings 14 years of relationship driven recruiting skills, a proven track record of providing exceptional talent, and cost savings through a 90% retention rate to the organizations she serves. As a trusted staffing resource in the areas of accounting, finance and revenue cycle placements, Randi enjoys matching the shared goals of the clients and candidates she works with.

Randi received her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from Georgia College and State University.
Randi enjoys spending time with her husband, Blaine, and their daughters, Claudia and Cate.
Chief Operating Officer
Tom is the Chief Operating Officer for Accountants One. He is an accomplished executive with the drive and passion for adding value to business by providing the vision, leadership, and teamwork needed to deliver profitable growth. Experienced innovator with a unique blend of operational and business expertise to implement robust solutions across the enterprise. Tom was the driving force behind the creation of two successful professional services business lines, and supported the expansion of a national recruiting firm. Tom has expertise in developing high-performance teams, business expansion, revenue generation, financial growth, and process optimization.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University.
Prior to joining Accountants One, Tom Served as the SVP of Delivery Services at Illuminate360 where he was responsible for internal operations, and delivery implementation of their advanced analytics platform.
Previously Tom was Executive Vice President of professional services for MATRIX Resources where he led the national expansion of multiple business units selling and delivering enterprise solutions focused on financial services, healthcare, retail, transportation, and telecommunications sectors. His efforts in partnership with two other executives achieved national recognition for “25 Best Places to Work” for three consecutive years.
Prior to MATRIX, Tom served as Group Manager in Technical Operations for The Coca-Cola Company where he was responsible for strategic planning, design, and implementation of global distributed systems enhancing supply chain efficiencies and engineering standards.
When Tom is not working he is very active in community service. He’s been a volunteer for Junior Achievement, Hopewell Youth Association, YMCA, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Foster Care Foundation Services.
Sales Manager & Recruiter
Tracy brings a variety of experience to Accountants One. Coming from the fields of filmmaking and counseling, Tracy’s experience lends itself to a deep listening, and a thoughtful, MATCH process. She strongly believes in service, and, in line with the mission of Accountants One, affirms that whatever we can do to help you achieve your goals, we will do with honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
Tracy has worked all over the country, with all types of people, and since the birth of her triplets in 2001, she is happy to be settled back in Bulldog country, calling Atlanta home again. Most summer weekends, you can find them at Lake Nottely, enjoying the mountains, hiking, kayaking and doing some water skiing.
Cara Matricardi joined Accountants One in June of 2016 and has enjoyed learning from some of the best in the business.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Georgia College and State University. Before becoming part of the Accountants One team, Cara worked for six years as an educator and coach (soccer and swimming). Her love for helping students plan their future and find their passion led her to the world of recruiting with Accountants One.
Cara is an Atlanta native who can often be found watching and playing soccer, exploring new cuisine, and reading dystopian novels. She enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her precious dog, Xenon.
Senior Account Manager
Ashley joined the Accountants One team in 2016. She brings with her 23 years of experience in hiring and retaining team members across many successful software companies.
Ashley has a degree in Information Systems and was recruited to play Basketball on a full Scholarship to Georgia Southwestern State University. She was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority as well.
Ashley’s passion is growing companies and helping them to MATCH their technical needs as well as cultural needs while working as a team for the right candidate every time. In her spare time Ashley enjoys volunteering with her husband as a coach for her Daughter’s two school basketball teams as well as attending her son’s various sporting events.

Melissa McCown joined the Accountants One team in January of 2017. Melissa is a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama and brings a positive and collaborative spirit to the Accountants One team as a passionate and persistent staffing professional. Being from UA, she knows the value of team! Melissa is driven to be in the staffing and recruiting industry, because she believes that when we seek to discover the best in others, we also bring out the best in ourselves.
A Northwest Florida native, Melissa moved to the Atlanta area in the summer of 2013 and enjoys discovering new restaurants in the rich Atlanta food scene, exploring the beltline, or camping and hiking in North Georgia.
Human Resources Manager
Beth Julian joined the Accountants One team in December 2015. She brings 18 years of staffing and recruiting experience which includes administrative, accounting, and information technology. Additionally, she has a strong background in human resources and operations. With her extensive experience she has recently transitioned into a new role as HR Manager. She will be providing human resources, sales and operations support.
Beth grew up in Marietta and now resides in Acworth with her husband, son and Golden Retriever. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching her son play collegiate baseball and all things outdoors.
Danah Han joined the Accountants One team in February 2017. Her previous work experience includes Hospitality, Retail and Administrative support. Danah embraces Accountants One’s philosophy, and complements Accountants One with a focus in Service, Teamwork, Creativity, and Integrity. It is important to Danah to create positive and memorable experiences with people. She believes that unforgettable experiences are key to creating that special, one of a kind bond. People may not always remember personal details, but will always remember personal experiences.
Danah started her education in Florida and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at Georgia State University. Dana is originally from Orlando, FL and has lived in Atlanta for about 6 years. Although Danah misses the Florida beaches, she continues to enjoy exploring all that Atlanta has to offer. In her free time, Danah enjoys training, yoga, and trying new restaurants and hiking trails.
Customer Service Coordinator
Accountants One welcomed Natalie to the team in 2011. She takes pride in being the first person you see when you walk through the front door. She loves meeting new people, and feels so fortunate to work with a great team.
Natalie got her feet wet in the staffing industry in 1994 as a recruiter for the Olsten Staffing Company. She was promoted twice during her duration at Olsten to a sales position and then an onsite coordinator at NCR.
Natalie wanted the experience of working for a larger corporation and accepted a position with Georgia Pacific as a sales representative for their onsite staffing company, Georgia Temp.
After several years working downtown with Georgia Pacific, Natalie decided to incorporate her artistic side with her recruiting experience! She joined the Art Institute of Atlanta team as a Computer Animation Student Advisor. She loved working with the students and helping them find internships while in school and helped assist them to land their first job in the industry they worked so hard to master.
Natalie is a native to Atlanta and enjoys raising her two teenage boys in Dunwoody.
Lindsay Grimsley joined the Accountants One team in January of 2013. She specializes in social media and website marketing and is also the Event Coordinator of Accountants One the Search for the South’s Funniest Accountant benefiting Junior Achievement. Lindsay was handed the reigns of this hilarious comedy show featuring 9 accounting/financial professionals performing stand-up in 2016. She is honored to be a part of such an amazing organization that gives back to the community.
Lindsay lives on 300 acres of beautiful fields and woodlands with her husband Ben, a Sergeant of the Macon-Bibb Fire Department, and her two amazing boys, J.R. and Knox.
